South Thompson Valley (Rivershore)

The area directly surrounding the Rivershore Golf Course is referred to as the South Thompson Valley, although residents who live in Kamloops commonly refer to the community as simply ‘Rivershore’  This community is accessed off Shuswap Road immediately after the South Thompson Inn, Guest Ranch and Conference Centre. The homes in this community are bare-land strata and residents pay a low monthly strata fee which covers water, sewer, and garbage for the development. All the homes in the area are large, custom, executive style houses. Many of the homes in this development back onto the golf course and have large open views of the valley and nearby mountains. While it is presumed that ‘Rivershore’ is an adult only community, it is open to all ages and a number of young families have moved to the area.

SCHOOLS
