Brocklehurst
Brocklehurst or generally referred to as Brock, features large flat lots with longer periods of sun due to its lower elevation. There is a mix of mature and new residential homes which offers potential residents a variety of entry level priced homes to choose from. Brock is home to approximately 13,000 residents and is located in the North/North West area of Kamloops. Fruit trees and vegetable gardens are popular with residents due to the longer stretch of sun that the neighbourhood receives. Housing types include mobile homes on pad and freehold lots, bareland strata developments, adult only complexes, apartment units, townhouses, half and full duplex units, single family homes and farms.
There is a small shopping centre that houses Save on Foods, Tim Horton’s, Craig’s Bakery among many other small stores that is within a short drive of most of the nieghbourhood.
SCHOOLS
There are two elementary schools in Brocklehurst that students attend, for more information about the school catchments in this area please refer to the SD 73 catchment map. Located on Southill Street is Kay Bingham Elementary, which shares a field with Brocklehurst Middle School. Students that live west from Kay Bingham attend Parkcrest Elementary . High school students attend NorKam Senior Secondary School which also offers a TRU Trade program which is located on site. On the North Side of Kamloops there is also multiple private and schools of choice (OLPH, Bert Edwards School of Technology, Kamloops Christian School and École Collines-D’Or)
