The Kamloops Real Estate Market finished 2019 overall in a stable position compared to the remainder of the Province which has been experiencing a downward movement throughout the past 12 months. The total housing inventory at the end of December 2019 rose 64.36% to 996 existing homes available for sale, beginning 2020 with more inventory than last January.
In December there was 73 home sales which was a decrease from 2018 – down about 19.78%. Which could be reflected in overall total avg. sale price of all styles of housing. Over the last 12 months the city has had an average of about 238 closed sales per month (all residential types) in comparison to 2018 at 247. When looking at the residential market by itself it can be seen that while there was a lot of seasonal fluctuation, the overall year was quite similar.
The largest turnover of homes was seen in Sahali with 271, followed by Brocklehurst with 263 sales and Aberdeen at 243. (All residential types) The least amount of turnover was seen in McLure, Monte Lake and Red Lake.
