We have officially entered the last month of 2019 and the last month of this decade before we enter 2020. This past quarter has been quite active with a bit of slow down in activity this past month. With cooler weather rolling in and the holiday season on everyone’s mind all fairly typical. When you compare this year to last year, on paper it seems like things are slower but last the past few years have been very active in the Kamloops area. There has been a gradual transition from a Seller’s market to a balanced market.
As I had mentioned in previous months, that increased inventory has been good for Buyer’s, with more options to view and compare before making a final decision, the pressure has been reduced especially for those in the first-time home buyer category. For Seller’s, that increased days on market is being felt and can be seen throughout the neighborhoods with ‘SOLD’ signs not popping up as quickly.
As always, each home and each clients situation is unique to them and if you are curious about how the current trends may affect your current or future home purchase/sale, please don’t hesitate to give me a call on my cell; 778-220-4639.
